Hello!!!

Friday, October 05, 2007 Brown cowers at the thought of an election Our newly invigorated party is now ready for the upcoming general election, our membership has rapidly increased and our party now represents the many faces of Britain. It was refreshing to see a lot of new faces at the party conference, all young, old and everything in between. We are ready for Government, we are ready to reach out to the people of the country . . . the family who have been left out of pocket by Brown's stealth taxes . . . the first time buyers who cannot afford a home of their own . . . and the elderly couple who are worrying about their winter heating bills because of Brown's betrayal of the pensions system. The country is crying out for change, the British electorate will soon see through the spin and image obsessed Gordon Brown and see him for the clown he truly is. We have not had a change of Government, there are the same advisors, the same spin doctors and the same policies under the surface. So when it comes to the next genereal election, whenever it may be remember the stealth taxes, the spin, the spiralling debt, hospital closures and the society that is falling apart when you come to vote. Posted by Joe at 14:36 | Permanent Link | Comments (0) | Wednesday, July 04, 2007 Much more must be done to prevent terrorism I would like to start this post by praising the hard work, courage and bravery of the Emergency and Security services and indeed the General Public through out this weeks security alerts. The work they do is keeping us all safe from people who are cowardly and in my eyes cannot know that much about the religion they follow. But to get to the point I feel that a lot more can be done in our country to prevent the current terror threat. Despite all of Labour's tough talk there unsurprisingly a lack of substance and sustainability in their policies and approach. I propose the following measures to prevent and improve our immeadiate reaction to attacks. KEY TARGET HARDENING - Terrorists seek to attack the British way of life, this means almost everything we as a nation are proud of. We must take steps to protect public buildings and places by permanentely hardening the targets to terrorist attack. A more visible police and security prescence, bollards to protect from car bombs and greater vigilance are required. DETAILED EMERGENCY PLANS - Places of large public gathering and interest like nightclubs, town halls and public buildings should produce plans for the event of attack. These should be made aware of to all staff and visitors. INCREASED SPENDING ON ANTI-TERRORISM EFFORTS - The current spending on the prevention of terrorism is not not enought, it must be increased dramatically to protect the public and our country. NEW TERRORISM REACTION FORCE - Our reaction to terrorism must be much more direct and efficient. I propose a new dedicated reactionary unit to protect the British people in the immediate aftermath of attack, this should be country-wide. TOUGHER IMMIGRATION - More stringent immigration checks should be put into place, including examination of family and relative links. Psychological profiling could also be introduced to highlight those most vulnerable to extremist propaganda or those already under the influence. RANDOM INSPECTION OF RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS - Religious institutions should be subjected to regular inspections for extremist propaganda, those who do not comply should be shut down with immeadiate effect. INCREASED PUBLIC AWARENESS - I propose new classes and seminars of the current threat to increase public awareness and knowledge. Basic first aid and the reporting of suspicions could be included. These are my proposals for a safer Britain, a Britain where we can lead our lives in peace and prosper. Please send me your comments on my thoughts, if you agree you may also send them to our political representatives. Britain stood United Posted by Joe at 22:47 | Permanent Link | Comments (0) | Sunday, June 03, 2007 Party must unite behind Cameron Here I was thinking that the Conservative Party wanted to form the next Government, but hey I must have been wrong! Another Leader having to deal with unecessary infighting and division for the sake of policies that are no longer relevant to todays society and voters. I send out a stark warning today to other members, unite with Cameron and continute the positive changes or lose the next election. At the next election we will have a real fight on our hands, the current polls at their highest would still not produce a government with a significant majority. Get behind Cameron and let's change this country for the better. Despite all of the cries from the right of David Cameron stealing and jumping onboard the Labour bandwagon the policy is the right direction to go. David Cameron has always said that he and the party will support the Government when they agree on an issue and this is what he has done. City Academies are the next generation of Grammar Schools, they are more in tune with today's modern and multi-cultural Britain. They exceed in education results and teach Britain's workers of the future the technology and tools they will need in the job market. Besides the policy that many have said David Cameron is supposedly 'stealing' is actually adapted from a Conservative City technology school policy. THE BOTTOM LINE: City academies are the right way to go, they aid social co-hesion and teach our children the tools and skills they will need to use to compete with India and China. If anything David has shown his commitment to ethics, honesty and courage in his convictions. After looking back at Tony Blair's premiership I have to admit that in some areas the New Labour project has been a success. The influence of the trade unions was attempted to be reduced and the country in some areas has genuinely improved for the better. Britain is now a fairer and more tolerant country to live in. But as the years have passed by we have started to see Old Labour coming back into the fold and the New Labour image has slowly peeled to become obsolete in many people's eyes. Who would have thought in 1997 that this new shiny Government would only usher in a new age of spin and focus groups? Look's like we're going to have another 2 year of this with Gordon Brown, but rest assured the Next General Election is coming and coming fast. And from what opinion polls are showing us it looks like its going to be a blue one, full of new hope, cabinet government and realistic aims. Posted by Joe at 22:33 | Permanent Link | Comments (0) | Monday, May 07, 2007 End the War on Terror At a time when we are all under the threat of terrorism some would say it is the time to be stepping up the War on Terror. Not me, for starters it gives the the twisted minds of terrorists the impression that there is a war and leaves the phrase open to interpretation by extremists and those they intend to recruit. I feel that a new approach to preventing terrorism is needed, one of understanding and unity, rather than division. The reason extremists find it so easy to breed terrorism is that they feel their is a war, a war against the Muslim faith. We must end the War on Terror and must unite through the United Nations to end terrorism through diplomacy and understanding. I do not rule out combat as it necessary to protect the lives of our citizen's but a little less use would be good! THE BOTTOM LINE: Terrorism is a complex issue that affects us all, it cannot be effectively prevented by a single 'war' started by a few countries. It will be prevented effectively when we unite with other countries and use compassion and understanding in other countries as our weapon against the terrorists. I write to you at a time when Sarco's victory at the French ballet boxes looks to be certain, may I be the first to congratulate him and one of many to warn the French people . . . Many would say why would I warn the French people against someone who shares the same political views? The answer put simply is because I believe a country can be reformed without brutality and division, Sarco will not unite the French people he will divide them. He carries a right-wing agenda, these at times as we in Britain have seen are sometimes necessary but not in the 21st century. Sego at least had a more centrist agenda, she acted with compassion and understanding. These are both things that today's France needs to unite and to prosper. We saw in the 2005 riots that hard-line approaches do not work, even if they appear to. They surpress and leave people brooding with hate and fear, this will never be the right approach to France's ethnic diversity. Sarco has said he will unite France, can he really by calling rioter's scum? For my party the Conservatives the results look very promising indeed after we made impressive gains and inroads into the North. I feel that the election results are good, but could be better in the North after the extensive efforts made by the party. But how indeed can the party make inroads into the North when many seats were'nt contested by the Conservatives? We must build up more grassroots support in the North if we are to win the next General Election. Better election results could have been achieved perhaps if the party had launched some REAL policy, this would have course have boosted the electorates feeling that the party wa sready for Government. These election results are promising but we cannot become complacent. We must continue to strive to build grassroots support, launch more solid policy and continue to show unity and support for David Cameron and his agenda. Thank you to all those who voted for the Conservative Party and for Voting Blue and Going Green! I call on politicians from around the World today to take action on the conflicts in Darfur. In a World where our leaders invade a country for the mere suspicion of having WMD's surely we can take action and intervene peacefully to stop the bloody war in Sudan. This is the 21st century, gone should be the days when armed militias rape and pillage from place to place. Today's protests showed the huge support and will that the World community has for action to solve this conflict as peacefully as possible. I call on everyone with compassion and understanding to take action and show their political representatives that action must be taken to protect the families, mothers and children of Darfur. THE BOTTOM LINE: This conflict requires more than just promises and spin, it needs patience, action and negotiation. Our leaders must step up and protect the World's vulnerable citizen's, not hide behind spin and promises.
